I was approached by the company Let’s Buy British to sell my gifts through them as they really like my products. My only problem was, and I hadn’t realised until this point, that the products that I buy to embroider were not made in Britain!! Whilst I know that many things we buy are no longer made in Britain I hadn’t even looked at where the products I buy were made!!
I spent a day or two thinking this over and chatted to my husband about it and I decided I should do something about this. I got onto the internet and found a company called Cute and Cuddly Babywear and I soon placed an order for baby clothing made here in the UK.
I am now sooooo excited to be able to sell some of my products as ‘Made in Britain’. Maybe more of us should try to do this with ‘Brexit’ fast approaching.
I am currently sat waiting for my delivery so that I can put together some ‘Made in Britain’ Personalised baby gift sets…..please check out my website later in the week to see what we have to offer.
What do you think about buying British. Please let us know.
Bibs for babies is a necessity. They are great at meal times and for dribbling babies.
The traditional bibs are generally bigger than bandanas so covers baby better for those messy meal times. They can be too big to wear all day if you have a dribbling baby.
The bandana bib tends to be smaller in size, you can get some trendy styles so baby can be fashionable all day yet clothes can stay dry from dribbles. Bandanas do not cover baby the same as a traditional bib so do not keep clothes as clean at meal times.
Maybe a collection of both is best depending on the needs of your baby.
Which do you prefer? Have you used a selection of both is one the ‘winner’ for you and your baby?
We have some new gifts in stock all presented in a keepsake box. These gifts have everyday essentials for a new baby making them perfect gifts for new parents. We have a lovely neutral colour teddy bear set for those who do not know the gender of their baby.
As well as my embroidery business I am Head Coach at Otley Rhythmic Gymnastics Club. Last Saturday we held our Annual Club Display. I embroidered some new t-shirts for my display squad. The girls performed really well and had a great time and we raised some much needed funds for the club. A very proud coach.
Good Morning. Yesterday my Mum and I went to the Stitching, Sewing and Hobbycraft show in Harrogate. http://www.stitchandhobby.co.uk/harrogate/spring/ I was excited to see a whole stand of embroidery supplies. I purchased some new multi-coloured cotton!
I can’t wait to use them and see how they turn out. Which colour do you like?
My mother-in-law has dementia and is in a nursing home. Last night when visiting it was brought to our attention that my mother-in-law had a shortage of socks! Although the home is lovely and her care is good her socks must be going missing! I bought my mother-in-law some new socks today and as I have got an embroidery machine it made sense to embroider her initials on each sock.
My mother-in-law should now get her own socks back and this should hopefully help the staff at the home!
